Ventilators are critical life-support equipment used in intensive care, surgical anesthesia, and emergency transport, where any power interruption could lead to fatal consequences. Unlike consumer electronics, ventilator batteries require not only long battery life, but also seamless switching in extreme situations such as power grid outages or equipment relocation, ensuring uninterrupted oxygen supply. This places extremely high demands on the redundancy design and instantaneous response capabilities of the battery system.

Ventilators typically require more than 8 hours of continuous operation during transport or backup scenarios, while the equipment itself must remain lightweight to accommodate ambulance transport, intra-hospital patient transfers, and other similar settings. The contradiction between high energy density and compact volume is particularly prominent. How to achieve sufficient capacity within a limited space to support long-term life support is the core challenge in battery design.
